Started a topsoil pile. All hauled over Memorial Day weekend. Used the L3301 to load a small dump truck and also to level the pile.

For that well cared for drive, have you thought about a land plane? Few passes and you’d be done.
I have thought about it. A lot. It looks good but I still have some low spots and uneven distribution of rock where a land plane would be helpful in leveling that out. Gonna stop at Rural King on my way home today and see what they have in stock. I believe my local Kubota dealer rents attachments. I may call and see if they have a land plane I can rent for a day to try it out.

For this round, I had quite a few deep holes that I had filled over the last year. Rain and winter weather was washing the fill out so I needed to break up a few inches of the surface to get things to pack back in. Doesn't help that quite a bit of the larger rock was brought up to the surface during home construction either. I believe my local Kubota dealer rents attachments. I may call and see if they have a land plane I can rent for a day to try it out.

No matter how well it gets leveled and smoothed out, it's gonna need freshening back up after a period of time and a few rains.

Bush hogged along the ditch, levelled some of the fill, and moved some wood.

Then put on the grapple and did some more work

The rain has been gone for a few days so I have started placing come culverts across some low places. This is the first of 4. Yup, it's PVC and sorta screwy but it is what I had and what I needed. The other 3 will be corrugated steel pipes.

More culvert/dirt work. This morning I loaded up two culverts, placed them, and started hauling dirt. All of these culverts are just in low places not ditches so they are basically on top of the ground and the fill covers them over.

Yesterday's work is seen just to the right of the rear tractor tire in the second picture below. All three culverts are now covered under one fill.

I have one more culvert to do this afternoon.

Cleared more brush and trees. Burnt one of the brush piles and cleared up the area.

Also, my dad, brother-in-law, and nephews worked on getting the old MF 35 Deluxe. After setting for 18 years, they got it fired up and idling. Still lots of work to be done, but it runs.

I bought a new lawn mower today. Not a Kubota, but it has a D1305 Kubota engine. Way more power than the one I traded in.(It had a Kubota D902.)
Got home with it after 5 this evening and still had time to mow 2 large yards.
(Both nearly three acres each.) This thing is a beast. 400D Grasshopper.
Got the Grammar air ride seat. As fast as this machine will mow, the air ride is a must have.

I hate mowing lawns. Why I let it grow, mow it with a disc mower, rake and bale it and sell it....lol

You know they are washable? I soak mine in a bucket with Dawn dish wash detergent, rinse in clear water and let air dry. beats 35 bucks for a new one.

Pulled off the rear wheels because one tire was starting to squirt calcium chloride through the cracks in the sidewall (The tires were rotted when I bought the tractor 2+ years ago, but I figured I would get what life I could out of them as there was lots of tread). Brought the wheels and tires to the local tire shop - they pulled off the tires and cleaned up the wheels, which now look like lace - there are pin holes all over the wheels that had been kept closed by rust and paint. I can't put new tires on them, so I ordered new wheels, which hopefully will be here by the end of the week. In the meantime, the tractor sits on jack stands. I considered welding up the old wheels, which I may do yet, and I'll have a set of old spares maybe...we will see.
