Complacency or over confidence can kill you!
Truer words have never been spoken. The closest I ever came to tipping my tractor was doing something I had done dozens of times.

First time using the pallet forks, loaded up some scrap that was laying around the house and then played with the grapple for a bit. Still learning how to use it to pull out bigger trees. This one took some work but it finally came out.

Definitely glad I have both, there is a time and place for each.

Ground finally dry enough for some firewood gathering and stump pulling. Plus it has hit the 60's here in mid-MO. Heck, bald head is sun burnt already! (-;

Amazing to see that big stump next to your B series. Great job! (y)

I'm still waiting for some dry weather. Can't get back in the woods till it does. Even then, I'll have to fill in the ruts where I got stuck and get it compacted before I do. There is probably 5 tons of dead wood I chopped up back there that needs to go.
It's a double edged sword though. I've got to seed a 1/4 acre that's just dirt now. So do I really want it dry?

I am about to order a root ripper.
Hoping to avoid some open pit mining like that.
I bought one expecting great things. Don't have a quick attach on the BH, so it took a bit to switch out the bucket for the root ripper.

I've pulled a lot of stumps. Have only used the root ripper once... Can think of better things to do with 300 bucks.

I'll sell ya mine if ya want. (-: root ripper.jpg

I do have the Kubota BH quick attach feature.

"I'll sell ya mine if ya want"
I would be fearful that my 48 HP Kubota would twist that little Bxpanded root ripper to a pretzel, in just one bite.

"Can think of better things to do with 300 bucks".
I wish!
Ripper cost for my TLB is $1200-$1400 bucks.

I have been looking for months for a reasonably priced used plow or snow pusher. The one i showed in other post, was for my ATV and i sold it with the ATV. so its just been the blower and loader this year. Amazon sells Warn plow blades with shipping and tax; was $412cdn for a 60" blade. Ordered one, the plan is to build sides and a top drag for it and turn it into a snow pusher. it will also need an SSQA bracket welded to it. sure its almost the end of winter but at least i will be ready for next winter.

Got as much as I could down before the rain. I'll have to move the house on wheels to spread the rest.

I'm starting to feel the same way. I'm itching to start a number of projects but this winter weather is sticking around. The wind has been creating snow drifts for the past two days now. I was out on the MX this morning trying to use the wind to my advantage and blow 18" deep drifts where I needed them to go. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.

I just spent 4 hours clearing the drive and the yard.
6 to 8 foot piles of white stuff everywhere!
They are calling for more snow tonight and tomorrow.
