Got my 50.1 hour service done yesterday. I opted for a full hydro fluid change vs. just the filters. It took about an hour start to finish so not too bad. Most of the time was me cursing at the engine oil filter location jammed against hoses and wire looms.

Gonna pressure wash all of the mud off and give it a hose down underneath with Woolwax today to keep any corrosion at bay. Almost time to get the winter implements mounted up as well.

Our first winter snowstorm of the season. Dug out from 10.5 inches of heavy, wet, sloppy snow. The Kubota wins again!

I was burning brush in two nearby locations. All was well until I pushed one pile up and tried to back away. The tractor shut off and wouldn't restart. Luckily I had a truck nearby and pulled the tractor out of the heat. The left front tire was ablaze, but seems ok. However, I have yet to determine why the 5 amp fuse blew and shut engine off. I posted a thread in Service area.

I had the grapple on the tractor to do some firewood. My wife had cleaned out a section of our ditch and the leaves were on the road. I thought maybe I could grab them with grapple. It worked a lot better than I thought it would.

I then used it to move logs to be bucked up and split.

I got rid of some of the brush the previous owner left behind. And there's a LOT where that came from.

One of the reasons I got the grapple. Such a handy gadget when dealing with brush! 🙂

Stopped at the local tractor dealer to look at the new tractors. Decided to keep the one that I have.

What brand of spacers did you go with?
Bora. I think I got a discount code from Good Works tractors (where I bought my quick hitch, since the land pride one was so delayed).

Easy to install, just tricky to make sure the loaded wheels didn't get out of hand.

After cleaning up from our first winter storm it was time for some service. Changed all fluids and filters. Changed the front axle lube. Grease. Gave the underside a good looking over and found nothing out of the ordinary!
Even with implements attached, the 4 post lift sure makes life easier for servicing!!

We spent the day cleaning up part of what was logged at our place.
I skidded the last 26 foot pine log out and cut up the last large Hemlock but end of the tree.
Surprised how big a log that the B2650 would move.
This project give me an excuse to buy a grapple lots of logs need to be cleaned up

Cleaned up a big hickory that blew down last Saturday. About 32" DBH. Took about 6 hours. I tried to stand it back up and flop over the opposite way but it wasn't happening. I stood it up and cut it about 10" above ground level. Tractor picked up the 8 foot logs with little effort!

Heavy winds ripped a large limb off a huge Live Oak on the property, so after cutting up this winters’ firewood (2-1/2 face cords) I decided to try to save a section of the main limb which measures 20” by 10’…probably weighs close to 1400 lbs…. Lifted it slightly off the ground with the Forks, sawed a 10-ft section of it and hauled it a mile back to the house and up a 30-degree grade for 100yds. Here’s a video coming up the grade in Lo-3rd @1400 rpm and a pic of it after getting it to the front yard: (Now that I’ve got it there…I have no idea what I’m going to do with it…I don’t need it for firewood.)

video (un-mute it if you want to listen): https://photos.google.com/share/AF1...?key=MUJTWTdnZ2FmYmNDeFcyRnQzSHB4VHNsMm9yOHF3

Was clearing out one of the houses for all over interior paint and flooring renovation. Took the trailer mover off the 3 point, put on the box blade for ballast, and that freed up the 80” x 36” dolly occupied by the box scrape when it isn’t on the tractor so we could use it to move this pillow into storage.

Of course we also used the dolly for a few other things like moving a couple of couches and this upright piano.

The Kubota made moving quite a few things much easier.

Nothing moved far. Either to the house 60’ away or the drive in basement of the house it came from.

That's an eclectic musical ensemble there, NCL, with the Ford model A/T rear axle housing for a piano stool!! :)

The front legs on the piano are pretty spindly so a little cribbing was in order. An old 100 ton railroad screw jack inherited from some long ago relative was just the right height run all the way down to 24”. A 2x4 spread the force and kept the jack from scarring the piano.

I was removing some trees from my pasture when I noticed this Locust thorn in my right front tractor tire. There was only 1/2” of the thorn showing. I pulled the thorn out & it sounded like releasing an air chuck. A small amount of the Liquid Tube came out, but no bubbles. It appears to have sealed the hole. I’ll find out for sure tomorrow. The sharp end is coated in the Liquid Tube. 🤞🤞🤞
