New member here. I've been a long time lurker but yesterday I brought my new baby home:eek:
A B5100 and yeah I know it's small and under powered but is just right for my small yard in the city. I found 2 within 100 miles and they were both in decent condition considering the age but this one was $1500 and was $1000 cheaper then the local one in like condition. It has a underbelly deck that looks like patched Swiss cheese but the spindles and such look good at this point so I intend to make a shell for it.
I gave it a quick pressure washing, changed the oil and filter, replaced the air filter. It hammers at idle but is quiet when sped up and there's no blow by. I had some used injectors off a D850 engine I has cleaned and tested and the improved the starting a bit.
After dinner I ordered an OEM seat for it:)

No snow to deal with but have plenty of mud. Been building fence for two weeks and some of my pasture is more like a swamp than anything else. Muck boots and 4wd are wonderfull things to have.

Wow, you got it bad. I woke up and it was snowing we got about 1-2 inches. Then it turned to rain and it rained all day. So now we have less snow than we started with.

That just plain sucks. Most of our snow is gone, just goes from freezing to mud now.

Sure is some pretty dirt. Is that your garden spot?
Ya I'm a little behind getting it ready but ya the garden spot .

After this pic I ran over it about 10-15 more times with the disk .

Going to run the tiller behind the L3800 tomorrow and start planting this weekend if the rain stays away .

Must be nice, we still have several feet of frozen ground.
