Life in North Pole AK. We got 18" if new heavy wet snow. Went down the driveway snowblowing. Got buried. Thank goodness for a come along and a not too distant tree.
I hate stuck equipment.

Sure am glad we don't have to deal with that today. Good Luck for a fast melt! Enough already...tell Mother Nature it's Spring.

Wife: I’d like you to dig up the edge of the pond and clean out the ditch, the. Build a walking bridge so we can feed the fish from it.

me: say no more....

And I'd made the mistake of taking off the snowblower. Mother Nature got even. Supposed to be below zero this week. Dang this winter is just hanging on. Sure hoping for it to warm up. Envy you folks down South about now.

Just when I was feeling sorry for myself because we had to leave our grocery getter out the end of our road do to the frost coming out you were kind enough to make me realize it can always be worse, thank you my friend.

Isn't it amazing, the wife knows you have a "backhoe" so she thinks you can redirect the Suez Canal! Just go do it!
I’m lucky I can do pretty much whatever I want to my property. There was already a crappy ditch there. I’m just gonna make it look nicer and deeper so the fish can swim part way up it.

If that's the case, just where was the OP two weeks ago? I had heard that there was a "little" issue in the suez recently?

Started clearing a trail in the thicker part of the property for the kids to ride their 4 wheelers. This privet is straight from the devil himself. Spreads like wildfire and grows so thick you can barely push your way through it on foot. I've got several acres of this stuff I'm working on - gonna clear it to the point I can mow. Wish me luck.

Stuff like that is perfect for the fenceline that borders the neighbors from hell...wish i had some of that stuff.
Put my first hour on the new L2501....it was fun for sure! Used the box scraper to create the new area where another garden is going to be.
I still need to cut down a couple trees....one dead pine and another Black walnut that will bleed it's poison into the soil like they do. The rodents plant them everywhere here...I hope it's not too big to already spoil the area...it's prolly 10" at the stump...time will tell.

We have subdivisions on three sides (we're on 8 acres smack in the middle of the city) and I'm keeping a buffer of privet for a visual block from the houses to our property. I'm going to try and clear the rest of it though. It sucks having 8 acres but only being able to use less than half of it. We have a creek running through the property that you can only see for maybe 50 feet because it's surrounded on both sides by this privet.

Drove a couple km down the road to get this new bracket made, info is in my grapple thread but I’m summary, I hard mounted the 3rd function lines on this home made bracket. Later today I will be working on the creek. Or as my wife has decided to call it the moat.

The ‘Moline is still sleeping from the winter, so used the Kubota to scrape more of the 50+ years of leaf buildup off the slab on the property next door. That was a 3-story chicken coop many years ago. Slab is about 30x120’ and in surprising good shape.

There’s another driveway into it on the far side of the photo

I decided to pull the 3 point arms off my bx2200.. dont have anything to use them with and they make the tractor 2 feet longer..

Was a bit of a chore, the 1 inch thick bar that holds the lower arms on is tweaked a bit, and the adjustable links are bent pretty good no idea how the old owner did that.

Had to remove both tires and use a punch to get the bar to move.. found something is seeping hydraulic oil, that sand has caked up all over the area..

Looks like some part of the pto pump valve has been rebuilt, or missing paint for some other reason..

Hopefully I didn't uncork a good leak.. parked the tractor on dry concrete will see tomorrow of there are any drips
