Used the Kubota tractor to pull out my stuck in the mud Kubota Zero turn mower. Waiting for drier days. :(

I feel your pain. This was no fault of the tires though as my feet were sinking into the ground also.

Had the tractor with carry-all out picking up deadfall limbs around yard.

Had a few decent sized maple limbs, and cut them down to 6 foot lengths.

Was only using my baby MS211 Stihl. One forked limb rolled and pushed the bar into my knee!!😳😳

I’ve cut a lot of wood since 12 years old. I’m no pro, but a pretty decent novice. That said, I’m not a youngster anymore.

It happens in a split second. Thankfully, there was no throttle, and the chain was stopped. Just a little movement would have torn it up.

You can see the bar oil mark on my pant leg.....can even see the tooth marks...

I should buy a lottery ticket....😎

You guys be safe!

You got that right, my friend!:eek:😫

As soon as I felt the bar on my kneecap, I expected the worst.... but it didn’t even scrub the fabric.

I had just sharpened the chain, and left it a little tight...stops quicker.

If I was using the 046 Magnum, might not have been the same outcome.

The best investment I made was a pair of cutting chaps. I'm not young anymore either and they keep you safe.

Looks a little dry for this time of year in NY.

Just asking, could you soften the rear tires to get a little better flotation until the ground firms up again? The tracks look ( picture may be deceiving) like they are rounded on the bottom meaning the tire might be over inflated.

I agree with your assessment. Especially after looking at the rear tires once the mud dried and fell off. The rears are loaded but I will try to deflate them a bit until things dry out more.

Oh, I have chaps and cutter’s hard hat with screen and ear muffs, but it’s just cutting’ a little brush....😳

Being sarcastic....many years ago got hit with a widow maker right on the noggin.

My hard hat was hanging from the side mirror of the truck....

When I told my father, he said “good thing that hit you on the head; otherwise you might have gotten hurt.”....😳

I often say “if there were more people like that, there’d be less people like that...”

Stay safe....

Topped off the diesel tank. 30 gal in the tank and 15 in transfer jugs. Should get me through the summer mow. Both B’s are full, lubed and ready to go

There isn't much air in the rear tires when they are ballast filled. Be careful not to let out much air, because the tire will slip on the rim, or even worse, the tire can break the bead, and you will loose your liquid fill.

Put sleeves on the hydraulic hoses for the grapple and fittings. We had heavy rain yesterday turning to freezing rain and finally snow yesterday into today and very little frost so it will be a week or two before I can put it to work.

Buried some chicken wire about 6” down around the edge of the new coop. Used a couple of passes with the ripper to make the trench.

Another day of working at the farm. We spent the day working in one of the barns.

Here is a before shot.

20210327_082359.jpg

We cleaned for serval hours taking wood to the burn pile and loads of scrap to the trailer for the scrap yard.
20210327_100444.jpg

Finally was able to get the wagon pulled out after we aired up the tires. We were pleasantly pleased that the tires held air after all these years..

20210327_121117.jpg

A few more hours of cleaning and we were finally able to move the MF285 into the barn with the mower on it. So now we have three of the tractors in one barn and room to spare.

20210327_133516.jpg

Yet as you can see we still have a lot of work to do. This will also allow us to get the side doors fixed. Once we are able to get the rest of the stuff moved out/cleaned up, we will work on leveling the inside out and bringing in rock. Our eventual goal is to put in a concrete floor, just have to save up a few more pennies (maybe dimes, quarters, and a few bills).

I jinxed all of Northern New England by pulling the blower and putting the loaded back on.

My "blower dolly" worked like a charm......Wife helped me line things up this time, worked out well

Dealer delivered my B2601 today after diagnosing a bad female coupler on the backhoe as the source of my hydraulic troubles.

So, I got right to work tearing out stumps, moving firewood and brush.

My finish mower was delivered today too, but still waiting on the box blade (the first one they sent was a 66").
