I'm trying to decide between a black rear snow blower or an orange one that matches the Kubota.
I would love to hear everyone's opinions!

Thanks

I tend not to leave my personal preferences up to the opinions of others. Go for the color you think you can live with. I won't have to look at your snow blower, you will.

Whichever is cheaper. If same price, whichever in stock. If both in stock, whichever my wife wants me to get (this probably should been first).

Gonna be your choice. I usually default to cheapest, everything else being equal. Same price or close to it, I'd probably go with orange. I chose black for my grapple though because I didn't want to pay 50 more dollars.

But, like the others said, it should be what you want.

This is a budget and tractor ownership philosophy question, if budget is an issue just buy black. If you love your tractor and equipment and like it to match spend the $50.
Some owners never clean or service their attachments, others do, it’s all about personal preferences and approach.

My decision is to try and buy quality equipment, take care of it and keep it for the longer term, I pay the extra $50 for the matching color. Woodmaxx does a nice quality paint job on their equipment.

Get the black. then after you use it, park it in the sun and the black will warm up more than orange would and melt off the snow before you put it away.

Black will have a larger resale crowd if you choose to sell it down the road.

Would you buy a GREEN attachment for your tractor given a choice?

I think too many guys care too much about the color of their attachments. To each their own, but I don't care what color the attachment might be. Color doesn't make it work any better or last any longer.

The unanswered question here is, are they the same blowers, just different colors, or are they 2 different blowers? If they are the same, then price would probably decide for me, unless the difference was very small.

This is my thinking as well, as long as you store it under cover in the non-snow months. If it's getting stored exposed to the sun, the orange would absorb heat less in the summer months. Personally, I'd get the black and store indoors.

It's obvious that I have never considered color because I have a red, black, blue, another red, and yellow. Oh yes, what color is rust??

Color is inconsequential, build quality is. Rustoleum Kobota Orange comes in spray can for 6 bucks a can. You can change the color, you cannot change a cheapo build. A cheap built implement is like dating a fat gal. They might look good but performance wise... Not worth beans.

Thanks everyone,

I'm going to start a new thread asking for recommendations for a 3-point hitch rear blower. feel free to give your opinions there as well.

Without question get a neutral color (not tractor matched)

if you ever need to sell or you yourself switch to a different brand tractor, you’re in a better spot.

A family friend is gifting me a frontier tiller for my Kubota, sadly it’s JD Green. Of course it’ll still work, but tan or black would have been better.

Gotta admit, any attachments I build or purchase get a nice coat of Kubota Orange, and I’ll even throw a Kubota sticker on it to make it look factory, even if it’s home made. Yeah, I even wash and wax my tractor.

Orange tractor.
Yellow rake
Yellow flail.
Orange grader/scraper.
Black grapple.
Tan tiller.
Black forks.

Hoping for dog-wiener pink if I ever live somewhere that requires a snowblower...

That’s what my wife and I decided as well. Black would be our first choice, still looks good with my Kubota, snow may melt a little faster being black and if we were to ever sell it, no one should have a problem with it.
