angelo c,
Block heaters are cheap and very quick to install and they not only heat the water, but they heat the steel and the oil all in one unit.
They are also fairly quick to heat and have internal temp switches to turn them on an off to keep the heater from burning up.

When I lived in New Hampshire back in the early 1960's, my '55 Chevy didn't like the cold. We would put a shovel of hot coals under the engine to warm the oil to get it started. When you heard the oil crackling, you knew it was warm enough to start. Sure do miss that car!

Looking at getting a 2009 Kubota M9540.
It had no block heater tho. Has anyone any experience with installing a circulation heater on these tractors?
It gets down to -45 Celsius here. Sometimes colder. My other tractors were easy to put circulating heaters on.
Not much room on the M9550.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Same tractor I have. A regular block heater is more than sufficient And I live in saskatchewan Canada. It has gotten colder than -45 Celsius without the wind on many occasions here. A regular block heater works well.
