I made the mount using 10ga steel. I welded 3 braces on the back, notched out for the ROP's and drilled holes to mount. I mounted it to the 4 existing ROP's bolts. The box is an ammo box mounted with 4 bolts and rubber washers. I made the washers from a piece of horse stall mat and a 1 1/4 hole saw. I re-positioned the reflective triangle bracket. I lined the box with outdoor carpet. All the parts were painted using Kubota grey paint. I used scraps so the only cost was the stainless hardware and paint.

Like the carpet, but on mine I use rubberized undercoating, just spray it in, hose it out, if it gets dirty...:D

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned concerns over drilling into your ROPS. That seems to be a hot-button issue around here.

I did NOT drill into my ROPS. I would not do that. I used existing mounting bolts only.

Really nice, Hfrs7, I'm inspired as well. (Not to make a metal toolbox; mine will be plastic. I'm actually inspired to get you to "run over" and do some creations for me! :D)

That mount looks hefty enough to stand on -- what is your intention for the open space, any plans?

Aha, that would explain it. I didn't realize there was anything down there. It definitely does look beefy. I wish I had room on mine for something like that.

That's quite the mount...you could put a ball hitch on that thing and tow a 40 ft motorhome. :D Very nice fab work!

I originally wanted to put 2 ammo boxes in that space but I did not have enough room between the ROPS. I thought about a small drink cooler holder but I haven't decided.

2 will fit on there but the latch will not have enough room to work...
