I find this steering power steering unit very interesting. It seems as though there is no actual pump on this? It creates 400lbs of hydraulic pressure by just turning the wheel is what I'm gathering... I could be wrong though, not sure. I can't help but to think this could be adapted to my b7200 for power steering or in this case power steering assist??. No pump to hook up or figure out how to get plumbed and have enough flow/fluid for all your hydraulic needs. Just need to figure out where to put the 2 way cylinder. Seems as though if you could hook it to the steering arm that is connected to the steering box somehow would work. Disconnect the gear portion of it.
What do you think of this unit and the possibility of using for power steering on a b7200 with a FEL?
Don't really need it but would be nice addition as a lot of people mention or want it.

The wheels are turning...

Bubble buster here, you don't get something for nothing in the real world. If you want power-assisted steering, the 'assist' has to be provided, that's where the connection to the hydraulic system is required. The only way that kit would make your steering easier is if it took more turns lock-to-lock, giving up distance for force. And I don't know how you'd determine that without having it in hand.

Some guys have retrofitted their tractors with parts from a similar tractor, don't know about your model.

My thoughts also. My impression is that this system only allows doing away with the traditional cable and pulley system used on outboard boat engines.

If this kind of system worked then you would see it being used.
It simply will not work the way you think it should work.

My understanding is no external hydraulic system or pump is required. The pressure is created by the number of turns of the wheel mechanically with small pistons that create flow/pressure somehow. I think.. lol
im just trying to understand how it works exactly. Not finding a good explanation on the web yet. Kind of understand but still muddy water to me.
