'won't start' ?
Does that mean it doesn't crank the engine over or
it DOES crank the engine, but won't run ??

Does any smoke come out of the exhaust while you are cranking it over? If so, what color? If not, then you have a fuel delivery problem. We need more details to help troubleshoot.

if you don't have it, there's the WSM for free at www.kubotabooks.com
last page has wiring for L225 which might be similar ? it has 3 fuses........

I'd check the voltage at the glowplugs to confirm they are working. it looks like they're in series ,so if one is bad, you won't get ANY to heat up = spin but no run

No smoke from exhaust. I'll work on injection tomorrow. I'll check voltage as well. I disconnected wiring and cleaned contacts. I left a fan on it over night just in case it's a moisture issue.

When you turn the key to the on position, you should hear a single distinct click along with continuous fast clicking sound. That would be the fuel shutoff opening up and the fuel pump operating. Listen for those sounds and report back. BTW, you should also hear a single distinct click from the fuel shutoff closing when you turn the key off.

Ok if it was running fine then it should be relatively easy to get it running again.

Since it is new to you I will start with basic information.
It is diesel so has no ignition system. It runs on diesel fuel, not gas (which I see in your post but this is a misspelled word). But gas won’t get a diesel to run so don’t put any gas in the tank!

I assume you probably know how to start it but will go through the steps (assuming it is still wired up like it came from the factory- which is a BIG assumption).
Turn key to first position (run position) There are two additional positions for headlights low then high.
Set the fuel lever back (pull to rear) about half way (just to be sure).
Push the clutch pedal down.

Turn the knob (on right side of dash) to the left and hold it there. Turns on glow plugs.
Count off a good 10 seconds.
Before you get to 10, pull out the decompression knob (black choke looking knob on the left side of dash).
Release the glow plugs and then turn same knob to right to crank the engine (and also power the glow plugs).
Engine should spin at a fast speed and then release (push in) the decompression knob.
Engine should fire off quickly.
Adjust throttle to idle

I suggest you will probably need to clean all ends of both battery cables (4 total ends), maybe replace the battery, maybe replace the starter, maybe adjust and lubricate the decompression mechanism on front of engine, maybe inspect the glow plug circuit and replace the glow plugs and indicator. You may want to replace the air filter.

If your tractor has a different wiring scheme (wiring is hacked up), take some pictures of the dash for advice.

Opened injectors seems to be pumping a little diesel. Tested voltage , battery at 12vdc , at glow plugs 13vdc. Glow plug lite is glowing. I guess it might be behind dash?

I do not know that specific tractor, but is it possible than a safety interlock switch of some sort got compromised in the washing process?

I don't believe so older. Model L175. It started right after washing. It was only the next morning after I left the Ignition. Switch on that. It would not start after charging the battery

As mentioned by Russell clean both ends of both cables on the battery. Also clean the tractor frame where the ground wire attaches. Make sure the metal shines. It could be your battery is not turning the engine over fast enough to start.

Don't be concerned about safety switches or starter solenoids, there are none!

I see a few questions about the pictures

The battery posts are reversed from standard. The positive should be the near terminal if standard. But the far cable appears to be the positive and connected to the battery positive AND the opposite end is connected to the starter. I don’t see any issues with that connection but verify that positive post on battery runs to the starter. If that is the positive battery terminal (far side in picture) I would get the battery cable to look like a positive cable (red) just to make it plain that is a positive cable - I just hate when both cables are black (or both red).

Why is that far terminal not all the way down on the battery post? Is it upside down or just not installed well? Please get it installed all the way down.

Now on to the dash - this is the decompression knob. Does the engine spin really quickly when you pull this out? Does the engine slow down appreciably when you push it in? Does it spring back on its own if you let it go after it is pulled out?
IMG_0173.jpeg

The glow plugs are the two things with ther bare aluminum wire connecting them together in the picture below. The left one has a wire from the switch on the lower right of the dash ( but you can’t really see that).

But the picture above and the glow plug wire show a lot of corrosion. I would recommend getting the corrosion off the glow plug connections. The corrosion makes me worried about the ground cable connection but you seem to be saying it is cranking at normal speed that it started at before?
IMG_0172.jpeg

This is the glow plug indicator. It seems to be glowing more than I expected. I can only see mine glow dimly if it is not bright outside (dusk to night time). How long had it been in the glow position? I think you may have a dead short to ground in one or both of the glow plugs.
IMG_0175.jpeg

The indicator is a simple resistor (wire) that gets hot and glows. It reduces the voltage supply to the glow plugs so they don’t get damaged by burning out. If there is a dead short a lot of power would want to go through the indicator to ground and make it get hotter than normal. Bad glow plugs make it difficult to start these tractors.

How did you start it when it started?

Why is it wet around the injectors? Was that from bleeding?

I ordered new glow plugs. It did not get hot when I pulled out to inspect. It all started when I used the glow plugs feature for the first time. I believe it must have shorted them out. Yes I had checked to see if I had flow.
