This is an interesting conversation. I just got a B1700HSD. I've already been asked about next year's hay rides. Hmmm... How does one go about determining towing capacity?
In my experience (video earlier in thread), pulling is no problem. But if you wind up turning on a downhill slope, a trailer heavy with people can push your tractor and that is VERY scary. Luckily for me was just enough to feel it and not cause any problems. But if I ever do it again (I would) I’ll plan my route very carefully to avoid turning on downhill slopes.

That's a good point. The trailer and area that were used for hay rides this past season, a UTV was used. Bent the bejeebers out of the receiver, but they did it. I'm thinking the same trailer and area would be fine for the tractor. At least I hope so!
