Show us pics of your tow vehicle.

I guess some Kubota's never leave the farm but many do. For those who move their tractor for whatever reason what do you tow with?

My little trailer is a 5x10 but it is a heavy duty flatbed that can haul most anything I have including the L175. I tow with a 07 Suburban LT 2500 that handles my boats and whatever I need to pull so far pretty well. The gear ratio is 3:73 and I can tell the difference from my 04 Sierra SLT 2500 that was 4:10. This Suburban may get 4:10 before it is all said and done with. ;)

Well back in the day when I had my own truck. I had an 03 Ford F150 which did the haulin job pretty well. That was repoed back at the end of Janurary so I'm useing my dads truck for the time being until I can get a truck of my own. Being broke sucks. But here's what I'm using, its an 88 Chevy C-30 crew cab one ton. Aint purdy but beats the hell out of walking. Oh and my wagon is a 6x16 tandem axle rated for 7000lbs

For all my towing, a 2006 F-250 diesel crew cab pickup with a short bed. I have a 14 foot utility trailer and a 27 foot Airstream. I should get a flatbed so that I can take advantage of opportunities on tractors and implements.
I have to admit that I test drove a GMC diesel, and it drove and rode like a Cadillac. My wife said there was not enough foot room on the passenger side, so we bought the Ford. No complaints, it tows without strain, but it does feel and ride like a truck! That is not a problem for us, though.

Here's mine. 2010 Tundra. 2000 lb. hauling capacity and 10,200 lbs towing capacity. For a 1/2 ton pick up, it is a heck of a work horse. I pull several trailers including a 6,000 lb dump trailer and a 18 foot Featherlite car hauler on which I haul my Kubota's. It also carrys my slide in pick up camper, while pulling a trailer, without any trouble.

Eric, it's not a bad looking truck, and I agree with you on the Ford F350, as well as how it feels to be broke. I put everything into getting my Kubota and trailer all set up. I'd like to get a F350 or F450 with a dump bed, but no $$. I'm glad I don't need to haul my tractor around right now. Maybe the future will be different.

Yeah that photo of my dads truck was at a distance. If you got up close you'd see dads Wal-mart paint job with either a spray can a rolled on job or a paint brush. Its like 5 different shades of white and theres a few spots on the hood where the paint is flaking off. I dont know why dad still has the damn thing when he has a 07 GMC 2500 with a Duramax diesel in it. The old Chevy one ton is on its 3rd motor just put in a few months ago.

Oh and Slim keep your eye out on Truck Paper. They have EVERYTHING from F150's to Big rigs and anything in between you might want. I think they are a parent company of Tractor House.

Hard to beat the old tried and true "faithful" truck. :D :D :D :D They rank right up there with man's best friend sometimes. :D :D

I'm a staunch GM man so I can really appreciate that old iron. I have thought a few times of getting something old to save money for a while. Deffinately an oldie but a goodie. :)

Oh I totally agree with you Aquaforce but that old one ton is just not a practical truck to own anymore. With the big 454 engine in her she pounds down gasoline like a drunk slams down beers. I've been driving it alot here lately and with a 20 gallon tank and about 45 to 50 bucks to fill it up. The gas will only last 3 or 4 days and thats without a trailer behind the truck.

454 ! Nice!!! THat is my kind of engine. I know the mileage sucks on the older trucks but a bigger tank help range a lot. I really wanted the new 454 aka 496/8.1L in my Suburban but the last year for that engine in the burb was 06 and I wanted the new platform which started in 07:( :( just my luck.
My 07 does have dual tanks so I can go well over 500 miles before breaking the piggy bank open.

One nice thing about the big iron is they work like a bull and also the mileage is pretty consistant. NOt good or high but it doesn't get as low as a 350 trying to do the same thing that the 454 can do. :D

WOW I had no idea they had twin tanks on a Surburban. I thought they stoped doing that in the mid 90's

Well mine is a 2500 and in that chassis there is an option for them but they are not standard. The system is pretty unique. Only one filler neck and the rear tank cascades into the front tank to fill them up all at the same time. The fuel is only used out of the front tank. When the computer see's the level going down in the front tank it will transfer fuel out of the rear into the front with a transfer pump automatically. No switching and extra fuel pumps etc. Pretty cool.

Thats the same system the big rigs use. Its a cross over system which will switch automatically between the 2 tanks. However having twin 150 gallon tanks you have to fill up each tank seperatly.
