The amount of tilt is very difficult to control. The movement is so fast when the valve is activated that I have to tilt back and forth several times in order to get it where I want it. Does anyone know how to slow the movement down?

Flow restrictor is what you need. I’m sure other places sell them, but Brian at fit rite has them.

Here are some generic orifice fittings.

I would get the .031 and drill out as needed. While 1 should work on the rod end port, I recommend that you use 2, 1 at each coupler at the hose end is the easiest way to do this with generic fittings.
