Changed my hydraulic filters yesterday. I’m attaching a picture of what was stuck to the magnet.

Does anyone recognize it?

I’m currently experiencing intermittent loss of power while running 7’ rotary chopper. Sometimes everything is fine, other times any action that draws on the hydraulics bogs down the engine.

Fuel filter is fairly new, hydraulic filters are new.

Did you know your fingerprints are in the NCIC files…?

Don't what part it is, are you the first owner, have you changed the fluid/filter before. That part is fairly large to make it through the system without getting hung up. When you pulled the drain plugs did any metal come out (it looks pretty chewed up). Check the parts diagrams to see if you recognize the part. That the kind of thing that will take a couple of years off of your heart. Good luck

It looks like a piece of a shift rod. Which side appears to be broken off? Do all the functions on the tractor work?

Look through the parts diagrams and see if anything looks similar.

I’m the first owner and so far, only swapped out the filter…..haven’t drained the oil yet, but I can see that will be necessary.

I poked around looking at diagrams, but haven’t ID’d it yet.

Everything transmission-wise seems to be fine.

Quite the mystery. And yes…….years off my life for sure!

Thanks for taking the time to reply……as far as I can tell, everything is working as it should. I am having a problem with the engine bogging down, but not convinced the two are related.

I hope you still have powertrain warranty? If so I would be calling the dealer before draining the oil. Oil should be included in the repair I would think.

Check with your dealer there was a service bulletin, I believe that’s what Kubota calls them, on certain M7060’s with the injectors needing replaced due to low power.

After corrective actions are taken, I'd suggest purchasing all of the drain plugs/ crush washers and JB Weld magnets to them to capture any material that may be in the system. Even though the filter magnets capture most some can still settle out at the lower areas. Periodically you can pull the plug/s quickly and place the old plug while the magnetic one is inspected and cleaned, then top off any fluid lost. Cleanliness of a hydraulic system cannot be overstated.

Does that “square thingy” slide up and down on the longer rod, or is it fixed?

I have no clue, just trying to use “deductive reasoning” aka SWAG….(Scientific Wild Ass Guess)

I keep looking at that picture, trying to figure out how that could travel through the hydraulic system to end up in the filter. Crazy
