The front axle pivot vent plug on a Kubota L2501 takes a 9/32 square drive socket.

If you own one you need one, unless you are some kind of uncivilized barbarian........:ROFLMAO:

So people are saying it's 7mm, while I would agree I haven't been able to find a female 7mm pipe plug socket, I did find a male and bought it but no female.......if you find one please post the link.

7mm is 0.275591
9/32 is 0.2812

So it's .0036 large....it fits great.

Most, if not all, bolts, etc. on a Kubota are metric. That plug is a 7mm.

Like Mak said, I'm pretty sure I used a 7mm open end wrench for mine.

If you have the room, tap handles work pretty well also.

9/32 is 0.2812

Those are all ridiculous prices for a simple task that can be solved with an end-wrench or ”crescent” (adjustable) wrench.

(I love the warm feelings and memories of the terms my Dad and GrandDad used to identify certain tools. ”Crescent” was an adjustable wrench (Because the Crescent Tool Co first presented it to mass production. “Ford” was synonymous with “Monkey” wrench because one was included in all the tool kits of Model T’s and Fordson tractors for owners to “monkey” with field repairs.
”Channellocks” were slip joint pliers. “Kleins” are linesman pliers. “Stilson” is a pipe-wrench.

I found Google to have errors when searching such terms, for example, Google often presents any adjustable wrench as a “monkey” wrench. But here’s a true “Ford” or “Monkey” wrench (note this one’s metal-framed wooden handle is damaged and that the rear surface of it‘s head also can (and often did) double as a hammer or mallet. I still have my Father-in-Law’s Ford wrench and enjoy it. Unlike the depiction, it is in better shape but shows lots of use). Here on the ranch I once found one with only it’s adjustment-screw and handle sticking out of a large limb on an oak tree. It appeared someone had used it in the field and temporarily stored it with it’s jaws hooked-around an overhead twig and forgotten it a century ago, with the twig growing and completely enveloping the useful-end of the tool. Imagine walking through the woods and seeing only the thumb-screw and handle sticking out of a large limb on a tree. 😆 I could imagine the frustration of whomever looking all-around on the ground and on the tractor for that tool and eventually giving-up and driving away, completely forgetting they’d hung it on the overhead-twig. 🤣
I used to proudly/humorously show it to visitors as a curiosity. But one day the entire limb had been cut off the tree and I’m guessing a boater on Lake Travis came on-land and stole it. :( It’s common that boaters on public lakes are ignorant that the shore is private property and they trespass without realizing it. Any way, here’s a genuine “Ford” wrench:

I have one and I use it plus I have an adjustable straight jaw one from a Model T that I still use today. Old tool were good tools.
