Hello,
I have a 2014 SVL75–2 in limp mode with e9214 displayed.
The error code is stating DPF regeneration cycle occurs too often.

I took this machine to the dealer and had them diagnose it originally. They remove the DPF filter and had it cleaned and suggested I replace the fuel injectors. The quote from them was nearly $8000.

I passed on replacing the injectors and about 10 hours of operation time following, the e9214 code came back on.

Since then, I tore the machine down myself, had the DPF filter professionally cleaned again and replaced the fuel injectors.

The machine is currently starting and idling as it should but is still in limp mode because of the error code.

Any suggestions on how to clear the code? I know it’s a sequence similar to my tractor but I’m unable to find any information on it.

I also purchased the workshop manual for torque specs primarily but cannot find any information about clearing codes in there.

Your machine is derated because you still have the error, not because the code is displayed. If the failure was corrected, the code would clear from the hour meter by itself.
You most likely have a failure of either the T0, T1, T2, or the differential pressure sensor, or a wiring problem.

Check the wiring from the sensors at the bottom edge of the gray protective sleeve covering the last several inches before the DPF muffler. See if the sleeve has worn through the wire's insulation and is letting the wires short across each other.

When you replaced the injectors, did you record the injector compensation numbers of each new injector with its location, then have your dealer use Diagmaster and enter the new codes on the ECU? If not, your injectors are not delivering fuel correctly.

Update. There is no sequence to clear the code like the Kubota tractors.

The error code will not go away on its own, it has to be cleared by a computer which the dealer has.
I was told once the regeneration cycle reaches lever 4, the code will stay on because the filter is likely clogged and is now a fire hazard.

You’re correct on the injector codes. I had written them down but wanted to try and avoid any unexpected expenses when I took it in for programming.

All is well and the machine is running strong.

I have the same error code and currently in Limp mode.

I removed the DPF filter and cleaned with pressure washer and air.

Error code remains and still limping. Did you ever discover what the cause/fix of the error code?

Having the dealer clear the codes is the only way out of limp?

That's the first time I've ever heard of anyone doing that, I'll be really surprised if it works.
Let us know.

And yes I do believe that having a dealer reset it is the only way to go.

curious,
does the dealer CHARGE a fee to 'clear the code' ??
I'm not positive, but I believe they would attempt to complete a manual regen due to the error code and charge me for that and to clear the codes. I think it's $700.

I'm worried the $700 for this visit will turn into another $1,800 when the error code reappears due to injector failure and I have to return for another manual regeneration, injector replacement and error code clear. I can replace the injector myself. I don't like paying for work I can do myself.

Refer to post #2 for the info in replacing the injectors.

you can't "just" clean the dpf and then expect everything to work properly. There are things that have to be done in the ECU, via kubota software, else it will continue to regen more frequently (or possibly not at all, depending) than it should until the soot level is reset, along with a few other things.

and yes I'd be surprised if a pressure washer will sufficiently clean them. One of the guys at the shop when I worked there tried it and reinstalled it, sent it out and it was back less than a month later with the same issues. Sent it out to bake, did the ecu stuff, and it was fine.

doesn't seem fair . owner of the machine should be able to clear codes, no different than your car or truck.
The owner can clear the code themself if they purchase Diagmaster, take the mandatory training, and passes the test.

There is more to clearing a DPF error than just clearing a code. The system has to be diagnosed, repaired, checked, in some instances, registered, and reset.
