Does anyone have thoughts on an aftermarket. Suspension seat for my Gravely 52HD? It’s dry, the ground is hard and it’s killing me.

Don’t want to throw money at it if it’s not going to change things much.

thanks

I installed a Trac seat suspension on my zero turn, it helped a fair amount. Certainly not an air suspension but the price isn't crazy.

I have a suspension seat on my kubota zero turn. Absolutely love it.

I would definitely consider upgrading your seat

Are your tires being run at the recommended pressure?

My mower had a “hard” ride….. until I reduced the tire pressure from 35 psi (as received) ..to the 18 psi the manual specified. It rides fine subsequently.

Which suspension seat do you have, if you don’t mind me asking
Mine came with one already installed from kubota 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

That was actually why we went with the model we purchased. My wife has a bad back, so this way it didn't beat her to death.

I recently put this one on my ancient Great Dane zero turn. It helps a lot, but it sits quite high, I set it to the lowest position and added 1-1/2” (wood) to the foot rest deck. I’m not tall, 5’8” on a good day. I couldn’t hardly stand mowing anymore due to a bulging disc, and I cut a lot of grass. Other than the higher seating position, I’m pretty happy With it. It was about $250, Vevor.

I just did mine, a real kidney saver!

I picked this one over the one @lynnmor posted just because it clears the safety switch in the seat.

Good Call. Should be at spec. I may take them down some.

I installed one of these on my Ariens IKON XL60 shortly after purchasing it. If there was any improvement in the ride it was very little. I have watched videos on comparisons between non-suspension zero-turns and suspension type like the Ferris and even they were not much better. Have come to the conclusion that I am better off trying to remove the bumps on the lawn rather than trying to improve the ride of a zero-turn.

Did you adjust it for your weight? It needs to be adjusted to a point where it won't bottom or top out, then it will improve things over having a seat mounted solid.
