Strange coupling for B6000E pictures included

Here’s a couple photos of the upper three point link location of the rear casing of my 8N Ford. They will take the mystery out of the “wiggle pin”. Note the spring behind the upper link location. It can move a bit. Probably helps not bust the casing. Of course modern tractors don’t have that feature, so?

My tractor has pins permanently mounted in the extra bosses left and right or the upper link location. IIRC, Dad installed those to help reinforce that portion of the casing after he broke it somehow. I think there’s some brazing involved too.

Hi Guys, you all never cease to amaze me and brilliant Ken for your knowledgee, effort and memory. I will be having a chat with my brother about leading me up the wrong garden path. Thank you all so much. I will delve into the shed to see if I can find any others parts that go with the hitch and also look on the MF 135 to see if there are other bits attached to it. I won't be installing it as we don't have a trailer that uses that type of hitch and it would get in the way of the flail mower that we use the MF for. I explored the shed, garage and out houses and all I could find that might be associated with the hitch are enclosed in the attached photos. I only included this further message just to bring it all to a close as this is obviously a Massey Freguson part not Kuboat. The arrangement of the MF135 looks like it also has been updated and yet again we never use the hitch but I now appreciate that I can disconnect / lower / adapt the hitch and use it should I wish too. Hi all, just an update from last year and the three point linkage bar. I needed to design and make an implement that would scrape the edges of the menage where about 8 inches of sand had been pushed up against the boards. So I used the Massey Ferguson three point linkage bar and welded up an implement, photos attached. It worked perfectly and the area is now flat with no sand against the boards. Regards Bernie

Quite the implement! I like the wheel to keep the frame from hitting the wall. How about a compression spring inside the tubing (where the implement attaches to the quick hitch) to allow some play when the wheel gets too close to the wall? Or do you just go REAL slow?

Hi D2Cat, thank you for your comments and well spotted. Yes the wheel is there to ensure that the grader / scraper doesn't dig into the bordered wall and yes again I take it slowly as I need to monitor where the blade is hitting and where it isn't. I found, on my B6000E that the best speed is third gear and low ratio. It allows me to make sure I am doing the job correctly, that I am hitting the right spots, that I have the power to move the sand and not giving me too much neck pain from my 65 years young arthritic bones. I take lots of passes as I only want to move small amounts of sand at a time and each time I do concentric circles so I move the sand further to the center where it all came from. The menage has been in place for eight years and has never had this treatment, hence the 8 inches of sand up against the boards. I'm not sure if you can see from the photos but the scraper section slides into another square section on the bottom of the three point linkage, which is also adjustable by design. This is so I can remove the scraper section. The next job is to attach a grader to the bottom section on the three point linkage and see how that does. I will update when I have completed that. Hi, the strain is taken up by the chain attached to the front of the Kubota chassis with a chain link from the end of the scraper. I used it all on the gravel drive beforehand and it did a wonderful job just pulling in the gravel pushed to the edges. The fine tuning of the three point linkage, the level of the A frame and the adjustable parts on the scraper has given me the results that I required however I am always up for any further suggestions / modifications as I am making it up as I go along and only an amateur, so all suggestions and modifications very much appreciated and thank you very much.
