Storing grapple hoses

I watched a short youtube video (Link Here) from a company who shall not be named (rhymes with beer) that was demonstrating a grapple. They seemed to recommend storing the grapple hoses by plugging them into one another. "To keep the them clean" . Is that best practice? Not sure I have seen that before...seems like a good idea? But I am very new to this stuff and don't know for sure.

There is nothing wrong with doing that. I

plug these into my grapple hoses so I can bleed off any pressure that builds due to temperature changes

I plug mine into each other when the grapple is off the tractor. Easiest way to keep them clean.

I do it on all of my implements, works perfectly!

I've been doing this too and it works great.

It's 'standard operating procedure' to connect snowplow angling hoses when not on the JEEP for the past 5 decades.....

Last fall when I switched from my grapple to my snow plow I connected the grapple hoses to each other. My thought was to keep the ends clean. It was on a cold day.

This spring when I switched back from snow plow to grapple I had a hard time reconnecting the grapple to the tractor. It was a warm day. My assumption is that the fluid expended a bit from cold to warm and left a little pressure in the grapple lines. I relieved the pressure by letting a little fluid out and it plugged right in.

I suppose the same thing could happen if the hoses were not plugged into each other.
