In post 7 I mentioned I appreciate how the storage basket doesn’t obscure the tail lights. I realize the turn signals that are mounted on top of the rear fenders aren’t visible in the photo I included therein. It’s because the picture was taken too close up. Below is a photo that better demonstrates this point. I had the L out and about today for towing duties and since the FEL was mounted, I dinked around and found some FEL stuff to do.

Well today the B2601 got a better pretend tool box bolted to it. I removed the dealer’s pencil box “tool box” and replaced it in the same location with a plastic 0.30 caliber ammo box, flavor orange of course. It is mounded in the stock location behind the seat on top of the thin gauge piece of sheet angle that goes from one fender to the other, in the same vertical plane as the ROPS.

At a minimum it will be good for temporary storage of beer cans and trash I pick up that the good folks in my area discard on the roadside that I find while mowing the R/W.

Here’s a four photos.

Thanks. I think I got that one at Bi-Mart. Although I’d guess Amazon might have an orange ammo can.

I got the chainsaw mounts dry fitted today. I cut the stock mounting hooks off the top and drilled and bolted them on to the Kolpin basket.

These are the “Bannon Chainsaw Holder” got them on Amazon for $60 each.

The thumb screws are on a bolt, the head of which is on the back of the rear plate, so it’s not flat. Those bolt head are about 5/16” proud of the back surface. They were about 3/32” proud when I got done, although I kept nearly all the weld, so I didn’t loose any strength. This allowed the chainsaw brackets to bolt flush to the basket top and bottom rails.

I might start another tread in a few days with the details as to the modifications I made to mount the chainsaw brackets. Probably after I finish painting them to pretty up the cutting and grinding I did.

I love the concept; However speaking as a card carrying representative of the "vertically challenged", I think it might be slightly problematic.

I hear that. I won’t be loading or unloading them from the downhill side.

After this is effort is complete, next up is some trickery to mount the pole saw on the right side of the open station. While permitting full function of the FEL.

Then the grapple, three saws and a wood spitter (or trailer ) will roam the woods making piles and firewood. Fewer trips back to the shop to get all the tools on site. Might put the wood splitter behind the ATV.

Strong enough to hold some pretty heavy items.

Threw my gas powered post hole digger/auger in the tote basket this afternoon.

Had a bunch of other stuff in the FEL bucket.

It's a fairly heavy item....but the basket held it fine. Just had one 6x6 post to set....so not going to fool with the 3 point auger for that.

This basket is on sale during Amazon Prime days in Canada at least.
It has been normally around $200 CAD now 30% off for $145 which is the lowest I've saw it.

This basket looks IDENTICAL to the ATV basket I bought off of Amazon for $100 and bolted to the ROPS of my tractor.
