I needed an oil filter for my B2410 for its 500 hour service, already have the other filters on had. Thought, while I'm here, my new L4060HSTC has ~ 40 hours on it, might as well pick up the filters for it too.

One HST filter was $56, the other $78! WOW, I was not expecting that!!! I know that they aren't cheap, but not expect it to cost as much an an oil and filter change on my F350.

Is there a less expensive supplier of Kubota filters?

Out of curiosity I checked Coleman’s. Roughly $51 & $72 there. BUT then you add shipping…

Might be aftermarket filters out there but not worth the risk probably. HST repairs are $$$.

OH NO!! Like my trucks and cars, only OEM filters go on. No aftermarket cheapos for me, Except my John Deere X500, I found out that the JD Green filter is off the exact same line as Mobil 1, right down to the part number stamped on the case. If I can't get the JD I know the Mobil 1 will work. I literally had them in each hand and the only differences were the label stuck on and the date stamp. I had a 2009 Camry Hybrid at the time and it uses the same filter, bought a Mobil 1 for it, and a John Deere filter for the X500 on the same day.

I was at Kubota buying a belt the other day for my TG and thought, what-the-heck, may as well do an oil change, so asked the parts guy how much. It was $12 (CDN) so I got it.

Thinking I (might have) overpaid, I checked Amazon.ca when I got home and for OEM Kubota filters for my TG ran from $24-$48

So, at least for the TG, it was a better deal at my local dealer. And they are pretty good to work with too, always treating me right, so even if I knew I was slightly overpaying, I'd probably still buy from them to do my small part to help keep them afloat.

Obviously a "B" is much different than a "TG" but just thought I'd toss it out there....not to be contrary, but just to offer another view.

NExt spring when I do my 50hr service on the BX I might very well be singing the same song (as you) !

A year or so ago, when Kubota was offering $10 off per pail of SUDT I picked up 3 and all relevant filters.
The bill still came to over $500. I wonder what it would cost now? Thankfully I have yet to reach my next fluid/filter change interval so am ready for that and will likely be another couple/three years till I need to buy again:)

Ditto (only 2 pails for me), but in 3 years I'll be 84, and may not need it.

The filters on the B2410 for air, fuel HST and oil comes out to just under $100. Since I just got the fuel and oil, the majority of the bill was just the three filters for the l4060. Nearly $200 in just filters.

I still have 10 hours before it needs it, but since i was there.

The Grand L hydraulic filters with the magnets is the big price difference.
I try to buy my supplies at the dealers spring sale.
Good Luck!

Recently picked up two pails of SUDT2 and the right side (less expensive) hydro filter. With tax, didn't get enough change from $300 to stop for ice cream on the way home. Since Messicks made their move, they are now about 8 minutes away instead of 5:)

Good thing I had the left (more expensive, with magnet) filter in stock from a sale Messicks ran earlier in the year. Had a gift certificate and wanted to make the most of it when the sale was on so the filter was bought as a spare.

gee, it's too bad CANUSA doesn't have any oil under or feet to change into 'tractor oils'....

I've found the local dealer and Messick's are the same on prices. Yes, they are expensive think that is Kubota's price though.

I know the Mobil 1 will work.
I've been in the auto repair business for roughly 40 years. I once did a filter comparison test on oil filters by cutting open the canisters and removing the filter elements for inspection. Out of a dozen different filter brands the Mobil 1 was the cheapest piece if junk out of them all. It had a piece of string tied around the center of the filter element to keep it from ballooning inside the canister.

Stop wasting money on things like oil and filters. When your tractor dies go buy a new one.

I live 450 miles from Messick's,..... and they are still too close!
I can't imagine them being only 8 minutes away.
I would be completely broke!

If you think that's bad, just try buying an engine oil filter for a piston-powered aircraft. Prices have doubled and even tripled, IF you can get a filter at all. Orders in early May were given late August delivery dates. Those delivery dates have since slipped to "maybe in September". My oil changes have gone from being about $120 affairs to costing me over $200... every 50 hours!
