Unless I’m doing something wrong. I know the switch is connected to something because when the tractor starts and the gauges do their little sweep and all the warning lights turn on for a second…that stationary pto switch lights up then goes out. But no matter what I do, I can’t make it light up by pushing it. I’ve tried parking brake on, HST in neutral, and a combination of the two. No go. The manual doesn’t explain it, probably in part because the older Mx models didn’t have it.

I’m not much help, but there’s something with folding the seat up on the little tractors…..you think there’s any chance that could be in play?

The whole point of the button was to avoid flipping the seat forward, I thought

Your Operators manual may not be the latest edition. Try searching on Kubota's web site. Because I am in Canada I am partially blocked by their site.
Alternatively, go to a Kubota dealer and bring a USB stick. Ask for a copy of the Operators' Manual for your machine.
Is your PTO turn on switch a yellow knob which you push in and turn to engage and just push to disengage?

I made a post about this back in April.

" I wanted to get out of the cab with the flail mower running but I guess the stationary PTO switch operation wasn't intuitive enough for an idiot like me. I tried pushing it and even holding it down when the PTO was running which didn't work, but what I didn't try is holding the button down for 3 seconds BEFORE engaging the PTO clutch. Like that's obvious!

It's in the manual.

Thanks. Guess I didn’t read the manual close enough
