I’m not sure what I did to fix it , I moved every wire that I could check. The only wire I couldn’t get too was the fuel sending harness that was under cab. It looks like a good spot for a rat to chew on my wiring.Instead of burning up fuses, wire in a small 12v lightbulb inplace of the fuse. In this way, you can troubleshoot all you need to find the problem. (If light is on BRIGHT, there is a short)
This is why I save all the bulbs I replace in my vehicles. Different wattage bulbs are suitable for troubleshooting different fuse values.
Usually:
- a headlight bulb is good for larger fuse values (>15Amp)
- a marker lamp bulb is better for low fuse values (<5Amp)
It sounds to me as if you have a bare wire which was rubbing on the frame. Moving the wires around temporarily corrected the problem.I’m not sure what I did to fix it , I moved every wire that I could check.
