I have an L3560 tractor. Loving it so far. There are some things I'd like to have a backoe for, but not enough to justify the cost at this point. I ran across this and am wondering if anyone has used something similar. The weight may be an issue, I'm still a newbie, but 550 - 750 seems high.

I would imagine that would be very hard and frustrating to use effectively on a tractor, if it would even work on your tractor. They are made for skid steers.
Just curious how much they are? I didn’t go through the whole quote process. I believe you would be very disappointed though.

Forgot to ask what you uses for a back hoe would be?
The 6 foot arm with 9" bucket is $1,750. That's what enticed me about it.
As far as use, those situations where I need to trench something. I'll be putting a french drain around my new pole barn in the spring, would probably be nice for that.

Im not one that typically says rent over buy something, but in this case I would rent a mini x.

Im just trying to imagine how you would use that on a tractor, wouldn’t be able to see what you are digging very well, and trying to control it.

This is not made for a tractor or for use on a tractor front end loader. A skid steer / track loader is a totally different machine in terms of using things on the front.

As recommended above just rent a small excavator for your specific task, it will be so much more productive and you can invest your money in other ways.

If you love your machine and want it to last don't buy one of these attachments. If you need a BH for a small job rent a mini-ex.

You would be better off with something like this
but even the manufacturer says use with skidsteers only

I got my backhoe rolled in to the original purchase - given the price, I can understand why you don't want to buy one outright. But as for "There are some things I'd like to have a backoe for, but not enough to justify the cost at this point." - I found all sorts of uses that I never anticipated once I had the thing, so keep that in mind.

Best suggestions probably made, if you're not expecting to need it enough to justify full cost, then rent as-needed instead. Better that than to waste money on something that won't work.
