Thanks. I wanted something smooth that would allow the sticks & debris to slide away. The scratches show that is working. There was some concern about airflow & overheating, but no issues thru the last 2 summers. The guard sits 6” in front of the cowling. The radiator is 12” behind the cowling with a direct drive fan (OEM). I have found that seeds & other floaters tend to drift around the guard away from the cowling. I don’t get as much sucked into the screen in front of the radiator. The breaks in the metal give it some rigidity. The guard is scratched, but straight & true.

I priced them and decided to make my own. About $90 all in with paint and heavy duty zip ties (I don't know how to weld). Not beautiful but works well. Paint is a good match, more or less.

Looks like it will do the job. I'd suggest putting a piece of angle iron at the top behind your punch plate going side to side to give the top strength. A limb could hit the guard near the top center and crush it pretty good. Might use a piece of inch and a half x inch and a half angle. Since you can't weld use rivets.

If you are firing up the welded, add some hooks or D-ring for tie-down points for transporting.

Thanks! A lot of thought and effort went into making it but it turned out well. No damage to my grill after a year extensive grapple work.

Does your metal supplier stock that material(what's it called)? Did you bend it by hand or with a brake? Looks great, that compound bend looks get.

The L48 comes from the factory with a pretty heavy duty guard. Picture was taken to display the loader cylinder supports, but shows the radiator protection pretty well. It is a pretty heavy duty set up.
