I bought my B2710 in June with 920 hours on it. I was thinking I should probably do an oil change. Should I also change the Hydro fluid as well since I don't know when the last time that was changed? Or is that fluid good for a long time?
Changing the fluids is not that hard to do yourself, along with replacing the filters and cleaning the hydraulic strainer. Thanks for all the input. I wonder if the dealer would pick it up? I don't have a car hauler to transport it.
Pretty easy to change the fluids yourself. Why would a dealership be responsible to fix any problem that comes up after simply changing fluids on an older tractor with almost 1,000 hours?Unless you have documented history of service, I'd have the dealership do ALL the fluids and filters. Anything with 'oil' in it, drain and change. Yes, it'll cost a couple bucks having the dealer do it BUT if ANY problems come up later, THEY'll have to fix....can't blame it on you.
