OK. I probably lead a sheltered life but never heard of these before. I saw one parked outside the church when I went to pick up Sweet Pea after Bible School.

The ASME (the breeding ground for guys who make vehicles near impossible to remove a spark plug from without pulling the engine) seem to like the drill-powered bike.

JoshBuilds made a drill bike out of PVC.

I thought this was a bad idea given drill bearings and the internal cooling aren't meant for that sort of use...then realized drills are "almost free" in kits as the replacement batteries are what manufacturers are interested in selling, especially on hardware holiday.

And it's not the only type of idea along those lines.
Notes:
1: "Water balloon bumpers" may not have lasted, but "foam backed bumpers" are in many modern vehicles under plastic bumpers.
2: Wrist-twist looks like Tesla's system, somewhat.

Good thing he did not use a milwaukee, he would have needed wheelie bars and a parachute. 😂😂

I vaguely recall folks putting washing machine motors on bicycles to make a poor man’s motorcycle back when washing machines used small gasoline or kerosene motors. Of course that was back when most of the roads where I grew up weren’t paved and not everyone had electricity.

With the advances in technology, the drill makes sense as a replacement.

What happened to the days of actually pedaling your bike around? I guess it’s the new Lazy Generation
