I know how to replace a thermocouple, not a problem, done it several times,
so I know that 95 bucks an hour for an hour and a half is excessive.
I deleted out part of your post, the rude reply part.
Please be a little more polite in the future.
I think everyone is a little baffled by your posts.
I'm going to hit on a couple points then just move on.
"He was the guy that sold me the heater, same thing happened three
times before in less than three years.. I paid for those repairs and not for the absurd price of 95 bucks an hour. It is a brand I found later he discontinued selling due to repeated
problems, one they still had on hand that they dumped on me."
So 4 repairs that you had to pay for???
What the unit never had a warranty?
Again, you think the guy's a crook yet you've had him back to repair the issue 4 different times????
How do you know know that they discontinued selling them due to issues?
And that sounds to me like if it is the case, then they are not crocks, they are just smart business people.
I would stop selling products I found to be unreliable.
Just because they sold a product and installed it doesn't mean they are responsible for making that product, that's the manufacturer's responsibility.
