So I'm looking at a Reverse Tine Tiller from Land Pride to go on my L4060 to put in deer foot plots...probably 3 plots .5 acre to 1 acre each..decent ground, good dirt until down deeper than a foot then some shale...but food plot for clover doesn't need to be tilled too deep so thinking be ok on the tiller...(Instead of tiller I had considered chisel plow and disks, but feel if rock not bad, reverse tine till do a better job?) -- will be running a Quick Hitch QH15 on the L4060 (and I think with a floating top link is the way to go?)

Anyone out there running or have experience on one the models mentioned
RTR1566 / RTR 2072 (the one I'm considering) and RTR 2570

My L4060 with R4 tires will sit exactly 70" wide....so was thinking need a 70-72 tiller to cover tire tracks....

RTR1566 is 523 pounds with 8 flanges and 4 C shaped blades per flange
RTR2072 is 795 pounds with 9 flanges and 6 C shaped blades per flange
RTR2570 is 868 pounds with 9 flanges and 6 C shaped blades per flange

RTR2072 has 50hp gearbox and 80# high tensile drive chain in oil bath
RTR2570 has 55hp gearbox and 100# high tensile drive chain in oil bath

Thanks for opinions and advice.....and yes, I'm still somewhat undecided on Reverse tine VS. Forward Tine...

Why are you set on a reverse version?

Definitely not “set” on anything- but after watching dozens of videos and reading tons of stuff - sure seems like if your soil has ok conditions (not filled with big rocks) the reverse tine leaves a much more cultivated nicely turned dirt bed with one pass than a forward tine — am I wrong ?

I've used both the forward and reverse rotation tillers and by far the best in my opinion is the reverse rotation tilling. You can literally make seed bed planting conditions in less passes than any forward rotation unit.

I've had a Kubota reverse tine tiller for 30 years and just recently purchased a King Kutter reverse rotation tiller and it is even better than my older Kubota.

I looked at Land Pride also but decided on the King Kutter because of 6 tines per flange rather than the 4 tines per flange on the Land Pride. Also the King Kutter is gear drive rather than chain drive

So I added a Land Pride RTR2072 tiller to my order this morning...think this will be the best option given the info I have. So the implements coming for the L4060 are:

FEL: LA805
RCF2072 Rotary Cutter
BB1572 - Box Blade
GS1572 - Grade Scraper
PD25 - post hole digger with 12" auger
RTR2072 - reverse tine rotary tiller
QH15 - quick hitch

Also narrowing down the search on a Grapple -- either a Land Pride Claw Grapple or one of the EA Root Rake Grapples...
