So I'm looking at a Reverse Tine Tiller from Land Pride to go on my L4060 to put in deer foot plots...probably 3 plots .5 acre to 1 acre each..decent ground, good dirt until down deeper than a foot then some shale...but food plot for clover doesn't need to be tilled too deep so thinking be ok on the tiller...(Instead of tiller I had considered chisel plow and disks, but feel if rock not bad, reverse tine till do a better job?) -- will be running a Quick Hitch QH15 on the L4060 (and I think with a floating top link is the way to go?)
Anyone out there running or have experience on one the models mentioned
RTR1566 / RTR 2072 (the one I'm considering) and RTR 2570
My L4060 with R4 tires will sit exactly 70" wide....so was thinking need a 70-72 tiller to cover tire tracks....
RTR1566 is 523 pounds with 8 flanges and 4 C shaped blades per flange
RTR2072 is 795 pounds with 9 flanges and 6 C shaped blades per flange
RTR2570 is 868 pounds with 9 flanges and 6 C shaped blades per flange
RTR2072 has 50hp gearbox and 80# high tensile drive chain in oil bath
RTR2570 has 55hp gearbox and 100# high tensile drive chain in oil bath
Thanks for opinions and advice.....and yes, I'm still somewhat undecided on Reverse tine VS. Forward Tine...
