At the shop they went back to a regen problem and said that the tractor wasn't getting up to temp in order to regen. They drained the cooling system and filled it with straight antifreeze and said that would make it run hotter. A little sceptical on that one and I have always read that running straight antifreeze isn't advisable and how it makes it runner hotter is beyond me.
Water can carry the heat away better than any mixture of water and anti freeze. The more anti freeze the worse the heat transfer to the radiator. I don’t know why the “100% anti freeze is bad” statement is made unless it was a warning that the engine would run hot but I have heard that same statement most of my life. I don’t know if it will hurt a cold running engine but I would consult the anti freeze vendor website to see if there is discussion on using it straight and also see if there is something about the freeze and boil point of 100% versus mixture with water before I left it 100% anti freeze.

I find it difficult to believe your engine couldn’t get warm enough at that temp. I wonder if there is a defective temp sensor? See what it does next regen. If not normal complain again to dealer.
The dealer said that the temp sensor was not bad. But they also but darn near straight antifreeze in the tractor to get the temp up so there's that. Everything I have read recommends not running straight antifreeze as it does not cool as well and does not offer the freeze protection either. The service manager told me that wasn't true. Anyway, I told the dealer this morning to come get the tractor and fix it as throwing a wool blanket over the cowl to get it to regen wasn't cutting it. Not sure what the next step is if the dealer comes back with other creative fixes....

I don’t mean to “stir the pot” ... especially I don’t ever wish to contradict good advice from those I perceive as more experienced than I... but Soltrons’ claims are to control ”organic particulates” in conformance with “ISO4406”.... and it probably does because to make that specific claim would be too easy for competitors to prove or disprove.
(ISO4406 is a standard of measurement of particulates... usually in hydraulic oils... but diesel is also an oil, of course.)
Getting rid of water in the oil is it’s primary super-power and that’s a good thing because the germs live IN the water..and eat the fuel for food...and poop into the tank which makes the slime stuff, etc..
But I wouldn’t expect more from it than other snake oils with regard to the claims of “reduces CO, NOX, HC” etc etc that none of us can measure or give a poop about, or that it improves performance, extends engine life, removes combustion chamber deposits, or enhances male performance while preventing premature ejaculation.

When I flew for an Indy race driver it was a “pit-crew-secret” that a hot engine at high rpm could enjoy a water-methanol injection into the intakes because the steam that was generated would clean the combustion-chambers. It doesn’t take much imagination to think about water in diesel fuel which any emulsifier could encourage to pass-thru a water-separator filter might turn to steam and have a cleaning effect. So getting the water to pass-on-thru and out the exhaust certainly will reduce the amount that remains in a tank to grow bacteria... and if Soltron or any other product can do that... Great! (PS: Don’t know how good that is for injectors tho’)
But all the rest of those claims are not easily provable and snake-oil claims don’t sway me very much when compared to known chemistry of products that don’t make wild claims to fix everything an owner can imagine.

(Now, where’s my Nomex suit...).
