I would like to install a rear remote(s) on my L5030. I want one mainly for a hyd upper link. Are there "kits" available to buy and if more than one which one would you install?

1st question cab or open station?

Up to 3 factory remotes were available for those machines. Assuming the factory kits are still available expect to spend ~$1500 to put the first valve on the tractor. and another $500+ for each additional valve.

Your tractor has a very simple hydraulic outlet block on the ride underside of the floor boards and you can easily plumb in an inexpensive off the shelf control valve and some rear remote couplers for a whole lot less. Your main challenge is deciding on a spot to mount the valve and how many sets of outlets you want and where they are going to mount. Once that is done its just some simple plumbing with hoses. The hoses and couplers will be the bulk of the cost.

This question is coming up almost daily and I may just put together some simple "kits".

Heres what I did. A simple and I do mean simple addon valve. It works exactly like factory remotes. This is a single spool valve but you can add additional spools and outlets using the exact same plumbing. Tractor side plumbing supply and return does not change - just more hoses going to the rear. I am in the process of doing a two spool kit for customer with a little older tractor.

Sorry, my bad. I have a cab. I like the "whole lot less" option. If you do post kits where would i look for them? If I know what parts are needed and few very simple instructions I can do the install.

Cab complicates things a little bit but probably not a lot. PM me and we csn talk about specifics.

That looks like front end loader remotes? Or have you tapped the FEL to provide flow back to the rear? Is that a good option, or better to use the power beyond and do an install independent of the FEL flow?

The AUX valve was inserted in the tank and power beyond circuits coming off the loader valve and operates independently of the loader. Its exactly the same circuits as factory rear remotes. The only difference is the AUX valve is mounted right next to the loader valve rather than under the seat.

Its also trivial to hookup. Maybe 10-15 minutes work with an 11/16 open end wrench and two new hoses.
  1. The loader PB hose gets disconnected at hydraulic block and reconnected to the pressure IN port on the AUX valve.
  2. The AUX power beyond port then gets connected to the tractor hydraulic block with a new hose
  3. The loader tank return hose gets disconnected at the hydraulic block and reconnected to the tank return port on the AUX valve
  4. The AUX tank return port then gets connected to the hydraulic block with a second new hose
QED

The remote outlet hoses on the valve in the picture go to the front but could just as easily go to the rear if you wanted. You could also mount a AUX valve with more than one spool and run them both ways. The only real issue is keeping the routing of the remote outlet hoses neat and out of harm's way. If you prefer the Medusa look just jumble them up like that Tractor Innovations lash up.

I know this is a very old thread, but I have the same problem. I am trying to add 2 rear remotes to my L5030HSTC and nobody has a kit for it. I can't even get something from the dealer. Has anyone successfully done this modification? The cab seems to knock out most of the kits, there apparently is no PB port on the loader valve, or nobody has published a way to hook up to this and get around the cab. Long and Superior have the solenoid valves but the pressure and tank hook up seem to be the problem.

There is most definitly a power beyond port on the LA853 loader valve. Who told you there wasn't? Hose number 190 in the diagram is PB from loader valve back to tractor outlet block. Thats were you tap in.

Hooking up the Long or Summit electric kits is just like I described above. Repkace or extend that hose and run it to inlet port on AUX valve manifold. Run a new hose from outlet port on the manifold back to the tractor oitlet block. Wire up your controls and you are done. Thats all there is to it.
