Lets see those drone photos! Any type, any conditions. If there is a story to go along with it, all the better.
I am pretty sure that in most UAVs you can change what the aircraft will do in the event of signal loss or gps loss. In the case of flying under a tree canopy I would disable RTH and land in place if needed.I’m not brave enough anymore to fly under tree canopies where I may have to really fly this thing (without GPS assistance). I used to have fun flying in ATI MODE with an older bird but a gust of wind would often get me too close to those branches that always seem to want to pluck it right out of the sky. And if you don’t have line of sight and it decides on it’s own (controller signal drops) to ‘return-to-home’, it can go UP at a really bad time (branches overhead).
Mavic2 Zoom here. Replaced a Phantom4 two years ago that had 450 takeoffs but only 449 landingsWhat drone are you guys all using?
How do you like the zoom? Ive been looking at it. I like the zoom aspect. Also, whats the story on the phantom? how did you lose it?Mavic2 Zoom here. Replaced a Phantom4 two years ago that had 450 takeoffs but only 449 landings
Love the Zoom-I’m not much of a photographer so the Zoom (instead of the Pro) works best for me. I can watch the various critters in my food plots without spooking them in the slightest. The Phantom just wore out—one of the 4 arms broke off in mid-flight right at the motor mount while up at 200 feet. Even caught it on camera-it was spectacular. How do you like the zoom?
