Lets see those drone photos! Any type, any conditions. If there is a story to go along with it, all the better.

I’m not brave enough anymore to fly under tree canopies where I may have to really fly this thing (without GPS assistance). I used to have fun flying in ATI MODE with an older bird but a gust of wind would often get me too close to those branches that always seem to want to pluck it right out of the sky. And if you don’t have line of sight and it decides on it’s own (controller signal drops) to ‘return-to-home’, it can go UP at a really bad time (branches overhead).

I am pretty sure that in most UAVs you can change what the aircraft will do in the event of signal loss or gps loss. In the case of flying under a tree canopy I would disable RTH and land in place if needed.

Thanks for making the thread. I plan to contribute to this soon. I actually flew my drone into a limb several days ago (mavic mini) and broke one of wings off. I was zipping around in sport mode around trees like a moron. I had to order a replacement wing and take the whole drone apart and solder the new motor in and reroute the antenna wire back through the body and get it plugged in, given I broke the right front arm, which has one of the 2 antennas on the drone. Got it all done and back together and its flying like a champ again. I need to get out and fly though and take some photos to share here. Ive been consumed with other outside projects though. I hope others will keep sharing I love the photos

Also - Id love if folks would share what drone they are flying when they share photos. I just think its helpful info.

Mavic2 Zoom here. Replaced a Phantom4 two years ago that had 450 takeoffs but only 449 landings🤣
How do you like the zoom? Ive been looking at it. I like the zoom aspect. Also, whats the story on the phantom? how did you lose it?

Love the Zoom-I’m not much of a photographer so the Zoom (instead of the Pro) works best for me. I can watch the various critters in my food plots without spooking them in the slightest. The Phantom just wore out—one of the 4 arms broke off in mid-flight right at the motor mount while up at 200 feet. Even caught it on camera-it was spectacular.
