Just joined the forum, great reading about your adventure. I've only rebuilt motorcycle engines, your post gives me enough courage I'd try it on my tractor if I had to.
There is nothing I know of that is a better attitude changer and confidence builder then a project that makes you think, analyze problems that you finally resolve! Good Job!!!
