I’ll be the first to say I love my QH. $80 with coupon years ago from Harbor Freight.

Added an extended hook from our OTT member Kenny at www.Boltonhooks.com - world of difference.

I have a Speeco quick hitch that is setting on a pallet with 6 Kubota rear wheel weights that I just dug out to sell. I've had the quick hitch for several years and never had enough implements that fit it to justify messing with it.

I'm the odd one out!

I have a QH-15 from Landpride, and I like it when I use it, but since the BH is on 95% of the time, it does not get used enough.

While I do like mine, the hydraulic top link seems to be a necessity. I do not have that yet. Still find myself getting off the tractor to adjust the top link to pick up the next attachment. It's still much much easier than the pins.

Don't have any, no need as the backhoe has never been off my 'lawnmower' in 6 years !
My gripe about them is that they are NOT 100% compatible with all tractors and implements. Lots of posts here about needing lower pin adapters, modifying the hook,PTO length and top link woes.
Never ever had those issues with my 4 tractors and 6 implements that use the A-C SC system.

Sorry.

The reason I asked is because my QH05 has been a bit of a pain but my QH16 works like a dream. Not certain why the difference.

In the not-too-distant past, the same discussion was about skid steer front mountings. There were a number of different designs out there and the one that worked the best was on the Bobcat machines. Since Bobcat owned the patent on their design it wasn't until one tractor company approached Bobcat to license the design for use on their tractors. They paid a royalty for each tractor that they installed it on. That opened the door for all the rest of the tractor manufacturers to also go to Bobcat and make the same deal with them. I don't know if the patent has run out or not, but if it hasn't then all the tractor companies that use it are still paying the royalty. This might be the reason that John Deere still hasn't adapted it for their tractors.
Today LandPride is only marketing their products as "Quick Hitch" ready.

I dislike the fact that there are compatibility issues. I'm too cheap to go purchase new equipment just so that it would be compatible with a QH.
As Jay says above, all of the issues with bushings, pins, hooks, adaptors . . .

I despise the fact that most cat 1 QHs are not really cat 1. The only 1 is the SpeeCo E-hitch, I believe.

I added hydraulic T&T and this has made implement hook ups uneventful. Having individual control of the 3 points of the 3P makes life so much easier. And, that transfers over to usability of the implement while in operation.

I had a QH05 for five years and never had a problem with it or with the many BX sized implements I used. Once I moved up to MX6000s and an M6060 I also moved up to a QH10 which is great. The QH15 is a LP/Kubota $hit show with its nonsensical CAT 3 lower links, but I'll be modifying it soon to work like a QH16 which is basically a QH10 with an adjustable top hook.

A QH with top-n-tilt is the way to go. I don't believe there's an easier way of picking up and dropping off an implement short of having someone else do it for you! Don't forget, the locking levers can be in the down/locked position when you pick up an implement i.e. you don't have to raise the levers before connecting to the implement.

I love mine. Lots of my equipment is home built. Some is newer store bought and QH compatable, some not. A couple of days in the shop with a cutting torch and welder has it all fitting now. That little bit of enjoyable work has saved me many hours of agonizing frustration.
