The snowblower on the B2601 came with hydraulic lift and hydraulic chute rotation but has a manual deflector on the chute, in the past I have not changed the deflector all the much but the Agri-fabs on the Husqvarna had a cable lever assy that could be used from the tractor seat, so I decided to install an electric linear actuator to operate the deflector. So I ordered a actuator from EBay it came with 2 end clevis pins has a 4" range and its fairly slow which is ok for this use and the spec says it has lots of push/pull power, although not a real big deal in the use. Today I worked out how to mount the actuator to the chute and started on wiring the switch and the wire cable to go from the blower to in the tractor cab. Got a good start on it today

Worked on the switch wiring and a switch mount for the linear actuator plan to install the switch on the hydraulic control joystick

Got the switch end wiring done and the switch mount done, so its to its to paint the switch mt and feed the wire from the cab to the front of the tractor and make the electrical connections and to finish up the linear actuator mounts

That will be a nice addition I bet.

So thats a momentary switch for "up and down" I am guessing?

Got some work done on the wiring this AM got the ground in the cab connected and got split loom on the cable to protect it, installed a circuit breaker next to the battery for the power lead and got that installed did a quick connection using wire nits to see if it was functioning as it should and it is so far so good

Very cool. I had the dealer of my used B2650 put a linear actuator on the chute, just like you did, but the switching controls were kind of clunky. I found a replacement joystick handle on ebay and modified it to hold a two-way rocker switch on top for thumb operation. Sure makes a big difference when blowing snow.

Finished up the wiring today except for installing zip ties on the power cable along the tractor frame, otherwise got the split loom installed and everything zip tied in place. Tested the movement of deflector and its good to go, tomorrow its to finish up the linear actuator mounts and then painting

Very nice work MNGB.

Do you have a cover for the back of that switch?

Today while installing some foam pipe warp to the windshield braces an idea came to me for a cover on the back of the actuator switch, so I gave it a try I think it just may work

I was thinking of finding some sort of black plastic box to encase it.

At minimum, get all black zip ties, you don't want the neighbors talking behind your back...:)
