That seat will probably wind up either in the dumpster after it is OK'd by the factory rep or will be put on a used tractor that needs a seat, depending on the ethics of the dealership. Sometimes it isn't even known by the owners of the dealership because that is what they pay their managers the big buck for. Making profitable decisions.

Just a heads up... check the oil level in the front axle. LOTS of them are low on oil from dealers!!
This is going to be the new standard welcome statement here.
"Hi, Welcome! Congrats on the delivery of the tractor! Check your front diff fluid, it may be low or empty!"

Glad I bought myself a new click torque wrench. Will take the manual for tractor and loader and go around writing torques on all the loader and wheel bolts to check their torques on the new tractor. On a click wrench, you want to do all the bolts with same torques before going to others because the only pain in using the wrench is in resetting the click point.

One of the 3 JDs I've owned had issues: 1. Loose rad hose (thought it was hydraulic fluid from steering cylinder); 2. Missing parts on throttle allowed it to loosen; 3. oil leak behind the injector pump. And a couple other things. Traded it in on this 2025R which has had electrical parts issues.; otherwise excellent tractor.

First tractor, they put the lift pins on the bush hog in the wrong location (out of 2) such that when lifted, the trail wheel went to ground.

Have really never checked bolt torques on any of the 3 tractors unless bolts I removed.

Ralph, I'd never used a torque wrench on my tractors before this one. If the bolts were tight, all was fine.

I've been lucky because my 3 previous tractors had zero problems. Probably this one will be fine when I get past the loader issues from setup.

I just bought this Craftsman click torque wrench. Had to remove front wheels on the JD to allow catchment of the MFWD fluid and had to retorque them using my old lever torque wrench. Needed the wife to help me to read it because I can no longer easily keep it up where the readings are easily in my sight. She kept complaining my hand or the other hand was in the way. Rechecked with the new wrench: so easy.

I hope others will share good dealerships. They are the real mystery, like human goodness. Mediocre is common, good is nice, but excellent is news.
My dealer is Southwest AG in Bayfield, CO. I have not yet set foot on their lot (4 hours drive), but the service they provided by email and phone was exemplary. Their delivery person spent an hour going over operation and servicing when he dropped off the tractor. They also said to contact them when I was ready for the 50 hour service and they would package everything needed and ship to me. I have been very pleased working with these people.

Don't forget to turn your click torque wrenches back to 0 when you are finished with them.

Good web site and Facebook page. Impressive they brought your tractor that far and took so much time. The distances out there to do business may be really unusual in the northeast and southern US.

We are used to driving long distances in the west. It’s a way of life here. When asked how far locations are, we give distances in hours, not miles.

Just got a call from my local service manager. He is sending a tech, the one I requested even, to the house to look at the damage and make sure they get all the parts.

Am so impressed with their efforts with this tractor. They didn't set it up, though their mother dealership did. Nobody's perfect but they are really trying with me. I apologized for being such a bother and for not noticing this last issue. As always, he was super nice.

One of my main requests was an in person visit and inspection, and for the work to be done here. I knew that was a lot to ask, but I may get it. I hate for my tractor to be "in the shop," which may mean out in the weather and to be there longer than necessary when I could be using it.

Glad to hear you are being taken care of. Cant state enough for the benefit of all....read your manual, check everything you can before you start using the machine. So many cases of greasing, oil, nut torque, being missed straight from the dealer/mfg.

I know they should be getting it right...but the time and trouble we have to go through to resolve these issues is much greater than just double checking what we can.

I should clarify. I have both a JD and Kubota dealer in Albuquerque about 35 miles away. Neither had much inventory, so I did buy a little farther away.
