I would like to thank everyone!!!!

@ken erickson , that was a great write up/explanation sir…Thank you

I just turned the most beautiful 12 pitch thread.
Here she is
Here she is under 6.2X magnification.
I am super stoked!!!!!!!
I followed y’alls advice and it turned out great!
First I “Un-F’d” my compound, and set it at 29.5 degrees FROM PARALLEL!!!
Then set my tool square to the work piece using the “fish-tale"
Then zero’ed everything.
Then using about .005 cuts, I slowly took some passes….Here it is as I progressed.
Now I just gotta figure out how to use these “measuring wires"
Not having a nut to test it, I am going to give these things a “whirl”.
I also forgot to address the question of "WHY I decided to try it in reverse."
It basically boiled down to me not wanting to have to worry about crashing into the head.
The way Joe Pie describes it, threading in reverse gear, sounded like a good idea….So I tried it.
I must say that I do like it, However I can see where “regular threading” with inserts would be handy…..(SO I ordered a set like @Lil Foot
)
LIVE UPDATE:
As I was typing this, Mrs. RWS opened my package of “emory thread"
ALL DRESSED UP AND READY FOR PROM BABY!!!!!!! WHOOOHOOOOOOO
Here she is under 8.2X magnification
I don't care if thats cheating or not….I like it!!!!!
(I know…I know….."calm down dumbass, you don’t even know if it fits"

)
