There is stiltgrass in the photo, the thinner, light green leaves...Thanks. Somebody told me it was stiltgrass but they weren’t an expert and I’m not either. I just mow it when it’s high enough to hide snakes.

Sold my 2005 FXDI a couple years ago. With some intake and exhaust improvements, etc., it barked pretty well, too.

We visited Cade’s Cove in the Smokies a couple years ago and ran across this little guy on the side of the road. Wife wanted to get out of the truck to get a better pic. Not knowing where the sow was, convinced her to stay in the truck and get a little lower quality pic from further away. Never did see the sow and I was OK with that.

Yesterday was scouting for a good spot to set a ground blind on my property for possible cross bow hunting next fall. Had this close encounter with this doe and young buck about a half hour before sunset. The doe was as close as 5 yards, the buck 4 yards. Both were well aware of me sitting in the Jeep but never took flight, just kind of wandered away.

Beaver Dam Lake in Creedmoor, NC. Adjacent to the larger Falls Lake but not actually part of Falls. No motors bigger than trolling motors allowed on Beaver Dam so ideal for paddling. Kayak/canoe outing with our adult son was a good day. This little cove was so calm it was close to a mirror of the sky.
