There's a John Deere 260 mower for sale locally. It's for the JD 400 series tractors, so it needs 840-850 PTO rpm depending on who you ask. Thinking 3rd gear on my l1500 will be close enough. I don't have live PTO, though. So does a RFM have too much rotating mass to run without live PTO or an over running clutch?
In reading threads from Bill Rigsby ad Dieselbob about their tillers for the same series of tractors, it looks like I will need to change the 2 lower 3ph pins and the PTO shaft. Am I missing anything else?
