Glenn, I have a 10" bucket on the hoe, and also what appears to be the same (14"?) bucket as yours that also came with the tractor when I bought it. I've never mounted it, but it has been used by the first owner. (I'm the third) The ground here, especially at my place in the mountains, is very hard & rocky- I'm not sure if I can force that big bucket into the ground, but I'll try it sometime.
The 14" bucket was missing one tooth cap, and I looked everywhere for a replacement with no luck.... finally a Kubota parts guy went rummaging around in the back for about 10 mins & came up with a very rusty exact replacement. He said it had been laying around for more than 20 years & he had no idea what it was supposed to fit. I crimped it on & ground it down a little to match the wear on the others, and it fit perfectly. Not bad for $5.

Looking forward to the car pics.

Jeese you did all that in an unheated garage? Your Platinum Man Card will come in the mail in 4 to 6 weeks. I wouldn't have even considered attempting my rebuild over the winter without a heated work space. Burrrrr

Beautiful work on the Dodge! My neighbor's got a Buick of similar vintage (it's a tad older I think) and design. I don't remember much about it other than it's a three on the tree. It hasn't left his garage much since he finished his resto back when I was a kid.

On the front of the cam shaft they installed a plug to close off the oil gallery that provides cam shaft lubrication. They have been known to fall out. when the engine warms up and the oil thins out the oil pressure drops enough to turn on the oil pressure light. It is more evident at the idle; it will sometime go out at high RPM. This means the lower end is not getting enough lubrication when it needs it. To repair requires removing the front of the engine and installing the plug with the new one from Kubota with a good sealant.

Your posting to a 7 year old thread, I'm pretty sure it's fix about now. :p

And FYI: The bottom end never gets starved for oil just the rocker arm assembly. ;)
