Clearly a lot of folks here don't give a crap about intellectual property theft but that's not surprising since most here haven't designed anything that's marketable, don't get paid to design products, don't hold any patents, and don't experience first hand the damage that's caused by this kind of rampant theft supported by Amazon and the like. I f'ing hate plagerism, intellectuall property theft or any theft of an idea, but even at the university level, the theft of ideas in the form of scientific papers, the publication of erroneous data, the fabrication of data and such has become an epidemic, and mostly from students from a couple of massively overpopulated countries.
I'm seeing in the workplace that many US employees have no problem passing off other's ideas as their own. I think the normalization of theft is a real problem that has bled over from countries such as China where there is simply no integrity, no morality and no sense of ethics. I got front row seats to this culture difference having a Chinese father-in-law and lots of Chinese relatives (through marriage) for 22 years.
It's impossible to be principled in this shit show of an economy, but I try my best. I happily paid $1k for a Hougen mag drill rather than some Chinese rip off, and I happily bought two JohnDow fuel storage tanks rather than VEVOR clones, but for small parts it's way too burdensom to figure out who should be benefiting from a sale.
The sooner a massive global killer slams into this rock the better.
