How much you reckon this weighs? I'm sure way too much for my little BX. Bucket ergonomics don't look to use friendly to me either. Long shallow bucket the exact opposite of what I imagine is good. Didn't even know this was a thing.

It's the first one I've seen. Sure looks like it would be a tedious thing to operate if it goes on a tractor. It would almost be a different ZIP code from the operator. Not being able to either see it would be something that I'd think is a problem. To swing and dump it would mean moving the tractor for each swipe.

Maybe it's really for a skidsteer. A good operator might be able to do something with it on a SS.

EDIT: After posting I saw the 95" reach. The picture must be deceiving because it doesn't look like it could do that.

This is the company’s website, really not much info on it there though.

Skid stuff where you are 'right on the scene' with the attachment.

Pretty sure 1 scoop could flip a BX over pretty quick, though I do have a ballast box now. Just need to fill it with millings.

Papaj - As you said this is not for a BX, this is to fit a skid steer or track loader. The operator has a perfect view very close to the mounting plate on a skid stter, I have a Kubota track loader SVL75-2, I run several attachments on the front that are high flow hydraulics and weigh between 1,500 and 1,750 lbs. A skid steer or track loader is a very different machine compared to a tractor with FEL. My track loader weighs 9,500lbs without attachment and can comfortably lift well over 3,000 lbs.

Some skid steer attachments can also be used with tractors but you have to be careful as many of the attachments are made even more heavy duty. I have a stump removal bucket, tree / post puller, 72" grapple and a skeleton rock bucket, I sometimes use them on my MX5800 tractor but would never put one of these attachments on my L3901 tractor as they are just too heavy or the L3901 would not be able to use them effectively.

It's fun to look at all the options and attachments but in the end no matter what size of compact tractor you have you are a very long way from the lift capacities of a medium skid steer or track loader. Luckily attachment manufacturers offer an amazing selection of products that are sized just right for each range of sub compact and compact tractors.

Ther's NO way my BX23S could even LOOK at lifting that, let alone USE it ! The 'book' says 700# payload and that looks heavier than that. Check their website for 'shipping' info, it should have a weight listed, take 100#s off for crating but add 100#s for bucket of dirt ?
