Hi Guys,
Just what it says. The brakes are making a horrible noise when applied. It happened suddenly. Would they wear out like that? Is it a big job to replace them? I have never worked on wet brakes before. Found a YouTube video belonging to someone else
Kubota L3450 DT GST
Thanks

Have you changed the hydraulic oil recently? If so did you use Kubota super UDT? I have not seen this problem in the L Series but the m series it has been a common problem when not using Kubota fluids.

How would I check for this? Also, I borrowed a tipper trailer a while back and could that have ruined the oil?
Drain some out and check for water.
The bottom of the Mid PTO case is a great location for this.

No sign of water, but I think I may be the first person to open the nut on the mid pto. I left this to settle for a few days but there was no change. I think I will change the oil and filter.

Yuck! That oil looks terrible for a trans. Normally will look like new oil as there is little to contaminate it (unless you rode the brakes for weeks) - You brakes do have proper travel, the pedal fully returns easily and the brakes feel applied at the 'proper' point, right?
