Hi All,

Got my 2360 late fall last year. I have a few questions on the tractor since starting to use it since earl.y spring. Here we go:

I bought the tractor for mowing and scraping my road. Have a 4' rear scrape blade with a belly mower. I would like to keep the scrape blade on while mowing. There is a bracket on the top link connection that will hold it in the up position. The bracket looks to be a bit much to just hold the top link up but not heavy duty enough to hold the scrape blade in the up position when the mower is down. Also, what would you think about tying/chaining the scrape blade to the roll bar to keep it raised when the deck is lowered?

The mower height knob will sometimes turn to the top position to lock the mower in the up position but often it won't turn to this position. I thought I saw online that the position knob can be adjusted.

Really happy with most things on the tractor but the plastic engine cowling is ridiculous to put back on after removing. Just last week I opened the hood and saw that one of the U shaped pieces that the screw claps hold has broken off. The cowling just below this piece has cracked. I want to reinforce this area to prevent the crack growing. I was thinking that somehow gluing a piece of some kind of plastic over this area on the inside of the cowling might me the best way to go. Anyone have the problem and how you fixed it?

That's all for now. Thanks in advance for any input.

Your mower has to be fully raised in order to turn the 'Height Knob' to the Top position.
In order to keep the back blade raised, you'd need to reposition/move the 3pt arm links. Or, chain the arms up. It would be easy to use those mounting points and chain the 3pt arms in the raised position without moving the arms to the brackets on the ROPS.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks, do have the mower in the fully raised position but still having problems getting the knob to the Top.

Looks like I would need need long locking pins to go through the link joint into the hole in the bracket. Is this correct? The tractor is located on some land we have, will be back there this weekend to see how this would work. Thanks for the input!

have to ask WHY you want the rear blade on while mowing ?

Also, check the front axle for oil ! yellow plug by left wheel...Most seem to find the axle LOW on oil.

Just kinda a pain to hook up and remove the blade when I need to use it. Some times of the year I have to scrape quite a bit. Lazy I know.

Have checked the front axle oil and it is good.

N.Y,
On mine the mower lift linkage has an adjustment that can help lift the mower a little extra to lock it in the top position. That linkage can also wear some and need replacement over time. Here's an old video of what caused mine not to go up to the lock position.

3 point on/off gets easier with practice and a bit of imagination for how to simplify, especially with BX size attachments. It can be just about as easy to remove an implement as it would be to prop it up on the tractor. Besides, if it's parked somewhere else while you mow, it can't restyle the quarter panel on your pickup, take out your wife's prize-winning roses or snag the mailbox and pull it out of the ground while you pop a wheelie. Just passing along experience of many mowing hours on a BX along with best wishes for you with yours.
