Price is not too bad, as long as his shipping price is good.
The "new style" has different injectors and different injector lines and different intake, also the valve cover bolts on the sides not down the center.
It's a closed system engine so no more blow by leaving oil streaks down the side of the tractor.
Note how two injector lines go over the top of the intake and 2 go under, not an issue for you as the intake is right for your application and you won't need to change it, also note that it is a higher HP motor.
If you want to keep your old engine for parts stay with the "old style V2203 DI" as all the parts like injector lines and injectors should swap over.
Wolfman will oil pans and front covers swap from my engine to a 2203?
NIW, I'd like to know the answer to that question as well.
Yes they are direct bolt on, just keep an eye on the oil outlets on the bottom of the front cover to make sure the gasket matches and seals.
You will need to drill out for the oil dip stick , it's a soft block and super easy to drill, and the flat to drill is there.
You might also have to swap the throttle plates and stop plates out, but again direct bolt on.
On the Bobcat 743 setup I chose to use the gear case cover that came with it as the newer style V2203 has the fuel stop solenoid built into it, that is a nice add on from only having the manual stop on the old motor.
It also has a larger oil filter setup (extended life filter), I was able to rotate the housing strait down to be able to clear the large starter that they use (would have loved to change to the smaller starter but it won't fit the adapter / mounting plate for the 743) and it cleared the mounts and floor.
