need to dig shallow trenches - no backhoe

Anyone have any good implement suggestions to use for digging multiple shallow trenches for some drainage? Kubota B2401DT is the compact tractor that I will attach to.

Used one many times before - down to about 8 inches it work well depending on soil type

Yup, what he^^^ said then remove loose soil with 3 point scoop or shovel and wheel barrow.

Yes, this could work. Not very deep. burying multiple 3" drains.

I made this single tyne ripper a while ago to dig shallow trenches. I tested and it worked well. The next step was to add a pipe laying attachment but haven't got to that yet.

Obviously the depth and ease of dragging it through depends on the soil conditions, but I reckon if it can work on my 40 year old 17 HP tractor it should work better on yours.

In the video I was attempting unsuccessfully to remove a large root from a large tree.

I thought someone had suggested this - use your forks, or one fork, then clean it out with a hoe or shovel. You wouldn't want to do a whole lot this way, but it can be done.

Second using your bucket depending on soil type etc.

I dug just shy of 300 feet for a 4 inch drain using my bucket only. I was surprised at the depth I was able to achieve, and took me about 1 1/2 hours not including back fill.

Not having a fel, I've done a mild ditch with my rear angle blade.

Used all the level adjustment in the blade its self plus the level adjustment in the 3ph, and then rotated the blade with short toplink. It gets the front corner to cut at a very acceptable angle.

It works on dirt, I don't know about heavy roots or rocky soil.

Rocks,roots,sand,clay,hard or soft, that will go where no bucket dares and live to tell about it.

it seems to be a shame just to drain off all that nice warm,soft rainwater. Did you think about capturing it and saving it for a not rainy day ?
