Hi, I'm looking at getting a 2 spool valve with power beyond. I found this:
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B07SPBWGKB#Ask
100$cad is very cheap so I'm not sure why that could be. PrincessAuto will sell them for at least 300$. Any concerns?
Also, it is not clear if PB is available on this one. There are two customer comments that contradict each other. Is there a trick to knowing if pb Is available when just looking at the picture? Because for some reason, it seems no one likes to clearly say whether it is or not.
Mophorn is an importer of everything from socks to satellites. They buy from cheap suppliers and sell cheap unsupprted products online. They are not high on my list of suppliers.
That said that is a "P40" valve probably made in China as opposed to the Eastern European products. It has a power beyond port and requires a sleeve to make it functional. Mophorn knows nothing abut hydraulics and is terrible about providig specifications. You have to be a real Sherlock Holmes to decipher some of their descriptions. This for example is the specification for the port threads
PABTN:3/8 " Unthreaded sealed cylindrical pipe threads
Because I have used a lot of the P40 valves and understand their configuration I read that as:
- P = pump pressure inlet port
- AB - A and B work ports
- T - tank port
- N - high pressure carry over (aka power beyond) port
- 3/8" Unthreaded sealed cylindrical pipe threads - Laughable. Their attempt at saying ALL ports are 3/8" BSPP G thread
If the ports are in fact all 3/8" G thread we have issues. The P, T, A, and B ports can be handled with simple adapters BUT the N port needs a power beyond sleeve. If Mophorn can't provide it you are not going to be able to use a PB sleeve for the European P40 valves because they are either SAE 10 or 1/2" G thread. And before you ask - no - you can't make one work with a 3/8" G thread adapter.
My advice - unless you want to take a big chance buy one of the more expensive versions of that valve from a more reputabe supplier that knows what they are selling and can provide a power beyond sleeve that matches their valve. That "same" valve from Summit is $150 USD and the 1/2" G thread power beyond sleeve is an additional $22.50 USD. If Princess wants $300 thay are way out of line price wise.
